The coating protects the surface of the canvas and enhances the color. The UV Coating option applies to Canvas Prints - all giclee canvases MUST have either a matte or gloss UV coating. Substrate means the Fine Art Paper/Photo Paper/Canvas/etc of your choice. If you want a print with your image centered within a specific or irregular margin (example 3 in the graphic), please setup your file to already include that margin and order the prints "cut to bleed/no additional margin" If you're not sure what size your image can print, please see our Aspect Ratio Calculator. When we ask for your image size & margin, we mean the exact size of your image and any additional margin you would like around it.
